A. The CSC does not offer Doctoral Scholarships to countries classified as upper or middle income for the purposes of receipt of Official Development Assistance (ODA). The CSC focuses doctoral funding on countries classified as least developed and fragile.
If you are not eligible for a CSC PhD Scholarship, you may wish to consider applying directly to the CSC for a Commonwealth Split-site Scholarship (for low and middle income countries), applications are currently closed but will open in January 2021.
Commonwealth PhD Scholarships are for candidates from least developed countries and fragile states in the Commonwealth, for full-time doctoral study at a UK university.
