Dr Santrupt Misra, who completed a PhD at the Aston Business School of Aston University, is the Director of Human Resources for the Aditya Birla Group, a US$29 billion corporation which employs 130,600 people and was ranked in the top six places for leaders in the Asia-Pacific region by a study conducted by Hewitt Associates, RBL Group and Fortune magazine.
As CEO of the group’s Carbon Black business, he leads the world’s fifth largest producer of carbon black, which is used in the manufacture of car parts, including engines and tyres.
When he has the time, Santrupt pursues academic activities such as teaching as a lecturer in Personnel. He says he has ‘fond memories of the time spent as a Commonwealth Scholar’ and aims to continue supporting the Commonwealth Scholarship community.
