Professor Olorunfemi Olaofe (Commonwealth Scholar, PhD Chemical Engineering, University of Bath, 1979-1982) has been appointed as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the University of Ado-Ekiti in Nigeria. With an academic background in chemical engineering, prior to his appointment he served as Head of Department and Dean, Faculty of Science, Chairman, Committee of Deans and on several other committees.
Professor Joseph RA Ayee (Commonwealth Academic Fellow in Politics, University of Glasgow, 1993-1994) has taken up the post of Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Humanities at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. Previously he served as Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies at the University of Ghana for seven years.
