On Thursday 14 March, Commonwealth Alumnus Zinat Ara Afroze delivered a CSC webinar on utilising research evidence to promote change in remote communities in Bangladesh.

This webinar addressed two CSC development themes: strengthening health systems and capacity and strengthening resilience and response to crises.

Advancing change through research

She discussed ways in which research evidence can be used to address development challenges faced by remote communities in Bangladesh. In doing so, she highlighted research projects undertaken by her team in the Char and Haor regions in Bangladesh in improving healthcare services and agricultural practices.

Zinat also stressed on the importance of utilising research findings to advocate for change and influence policy by engaging multisectoral stakeholders.

This webinar presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session with Commonwealth Scholars and Alumni. A recording of this webinar is available to view on the CSC’s YouTube channel where you can also watch previous events in the series.
