On Friday 28 June, the CSC Alumni Team hosted a webinar on “Corporate Sustainability: An organisational approach to build a sustainable world”, delivered by Commonwealth Alumnus Souvik Ghosh.

About the speaker
Souvik Ghosh is currently the Director of Sustainability Solutions at a leading technology consulting company. He is a mechanical engineer with specialisation in engineering for sustainable development.
Souvik Ghosh is a 2010 Commonwealth Shared Scholar from India. He completed an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from University of Cambridge.
Implementing sustainability frameworks in corporates
In this webinar, Souvik discussed the need for corporate sustainability programmes for organisations to become systemic, value, and impact driven.
Souvik drew on his experience and shared how corporate sustainability has evolved with key trends now focusing on sustainable supply-chain approach, climate change, and leveraging stakeholder relationships. Souvik explained the need for corporates to include circular economy, sustainability reporting frameworks for transparency and accountability, and sustainable investment and financing.
This webinar presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session with Commonwealth Scholars and Alumni. A recording of this webinar is available to view on the CSC’s YouTube channel where you can also watch previous events in the series.
Post-webinar, attendees were invited to network with fellow attendees to further discuss the webinar topic, exchange ideas and knowledge, seek out collaborators for their own work, and promote their research.
