This month, our Senior Alumni Relations Manager, Kirsty Scott, is visiting partners and Commonwealth Alumni in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Togo. The visit aims to celebrate alumni achievements, explore their impact on sustainable development, and strengthen collaboration across the region.
During the trip, Kirsty will meet with alumni associations to learn about their growth initiatives and hear directly from partners, including national nominating agencies, about how they engage scholarship applicants. These conversations will help us understand how we can best support alumni and identify opportunities for future collaboration with regional partners.
The visit also coincides with the launch of our second cohort of Commonwealth Startup Fellows, who are beginning their exciting journey to drive innovation and entrepreneurship, and create meaningful jobs for the future.
Get involved
We hope to connect with as many alumni as possible over the coming weeks. Together, we’ll reflect on successes, discuss regional priorities, and explore how alumni can work collectively to address development challenges.
We encourage you to update your details for news about upcoming alumni events and activities across the CSC Alumni Network and join your local alumni association.
Alumni associations are the backbone of the CSC Alumni Network. They provide opportunities for professional development, networking, and events – all organised by dedicated alumni volunteers.
Visit our alumni associations page to find out how to connect with the alumni association in your country. You can also find resources for setting up, managing, and maintaining an alumni association.
If you’d like to learn more about the work of the CSC Alumni Team, please contact us at alumni@cscuk.org.uk or follow the CSC on LinkedIn for updates from the visit.
We look forward to strengthening collaboration and engagement during the West Africa visit to support alumni in their goals and empower future Commonwealth Scholars in realising their potential.
