We are pleased to announce that applications for the CSC’s Alumni Community Engagement Fund (ACEF) are now open.

ACEF is an annual fund which supports Commonwealth Alumni in raising awareness of key development issues at the community level. The fund enables Alumni to organise and deliver an engagement activity that promotes knowledge-sharing, dialogue, and practical action.

Small changes for big impact

Small changes made at a community level can lead to a big impact over time. ACEF supports Commonwealth Alumni in delivering engaging activities designed to raise awareness and support individuals in implementing changes in their communities with the aim of achieving long-term positive impact.

Alumni can propose a range of engaging activities, including skills-based training such as masterclasses and workshops; lectures and seminars; civic engagement projects; community forums; ideathons; and collaborative problem-solving events.

Themes for 2026-27

Each year, the CSC identifies priority themes for the fund. This year, we invite applications that address the following themes:

  • Artificial intelligence for development
  • Strengthening blue economies in Small Island Developing States (SIDS)*
  • Women entrepreneurs: catalyst for change

*Please note, only alumni living/working in a Commonwealth Small Island Developing State can apply for this theme.

Further information about the themes, eligibility criteria, and application process is provided below, please refer to the ACEF Terms and Conditions.
