This month, our Alumni Relations Manager Kirsty Scott will be visiting Commonwealth Alumni in the Caribbean to find out about their work and how it supports sustainable development in the region.

During the visit, Kirsty will be meeting with alumni associations, which offer alumni an important forum for professional networking and community engagement, to support their plans for future activities. She will also be connecting with our partners in the region, including national nominating agencies.

With the opening of our Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Master’s Scholarships stream this year, there will be a chance to learn more about the scholarship and how it can support those with a passion for development to lead positive change in the future.

Join our alumni events

We are looking forward to meeting as many alumni as possible over the next couple of weeks. As well as reflecting on their successes, we will be discussing what alumni in the region see as the main challenges in the years to come.

As ever, our focus will be to encourage and facilitate community action, regional collaboration, and engagement with national and international organisations to support a joined-up approach to tackling the development challenges that matter to people across the Caribbean.

Get involved in your alumni association

Alumni associations form the bedrock of the CSC’s Alumni Network and help alumni continue their professional development journey through activities, events, and opportunities to network.

While they are aided by the CSC, the associations are run entirely by alumni volunteers who are dedicated to supporting the needs of alumni in their countries.

To find out how you can get involved in your local association, visit our alumni association web page and update your details so we can ensure you receive news about upcoming events across the CSC’s Alumni Network.

Apply for our new scholarship stream

Our new stream of Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships for SIDS, inspired by the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2024, aims to accelerate resilience and prosperity among Small Island Developing States.

As the countdown to applications begins, we will be sharing more information about how applicants from eligible SIDS countries can benefit from this unique opportunity.
