Duration: 07:30-10:30 (EAT)

Location: Nairobi

Celebrating 65 years of Commonwealth Scholarships

Led by the Commonwealth Scholarships Alumni Association of Kenya (CSAAK), this event will launch the national anniversary celebration of Commonwealth Scholarships in Kenya.

CSAAK is committed to promoting mental well-being and raising awareness about mental health challenges at the national and community level.

The primary aims of the panel discussion are to:

  • Provide an overview of mental health and current trends. This will include a comprehensive overview of mental health in Kenya, highlighting recent trends and development.
  • Create a shared understanding of mental health issues, their prevalence and the impact of poor mental health on individuals and communities.
  • Explore the unique mental health challenges Commonwealth Scholars may face on returning to their home country post-scholarship.
  • Identify challenges and solutions with mental health experts and learn valuable tools and techniques that can help individuals manage their mental health.

The panel aims to promote open dialogue, reduce stigma around mental health and equip attendees with the knowledge and strategies for better mental health management in both personal and professional settings.
