From Nairobi to the UK: Celebrating Kenya’s Sporting Excellence
On Wednesday 8 July, the British High Commissioner to Kenya will host a flag-off for Team Kenya ahead of their travel to the UK to participate in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The team represents outstanding Kenyan excellence through sports.
The event will bring together 200 guests, including Commonwealth Alumni.
Objectives
- To recognise and celebrate the delegation as they represent Kenya in the UK
- To promote UK–Kenya people-to-people sports and cultural connections
- To position the UK as a platform for Kenyan talent in both cultural and sporting domains
- To provide a high-quality engagement opportunity for alumni and stakeholders
Attendance is by invitation only.
This will be an in-person evening event and will include speeches from the British High Commissioner to Kenya, Cabinet Secretary for Sports and the Chief de` Mission of Team Kenya.
