NGOs and charitable bodies are invited to nominate candidates for both Commonwealth PhD Scholarships and Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships.

It is applicant’s responsibility to research your eligibility before applying via this agency. Due to the number of queries received by these agencies, applicants who are not eligible will not receive a reply and their application will not be considered.

Commonwealth Disabled People’s Forum (CDPF)
The CDPF brings disabled people from all countries of the Commonwealth, regardless of type of impairment, gender, age, race, indigenous & geographical background, religion or political affiliation, together with a view to having one voice to advocate for promotion and equalisation of opportunities for all disabled people.
This application route is for disabled candidates only. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate how their studies will lead to an improvement in the position of disabled people in their country. CDPF works in 47 countries, see below for award eligibility.

The Commonwealth Equality Network (TCEN)
The Commonwealth Equality Network advocates for the equality and human rights of all Commonwealth citizens, irrespective of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or sex characteristics. As a coalition of more than 70 organisations from almost 50 countries, the Network is at the forefront of efforts to defend and uphold the dignity and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and gender diverse (LGBTI+) people across the Commonwealth. The Network engages in advocacy, policy dialogue, and capacity-building efforts to advance equality and inclusion within Commonwealth nations.
This application route is for candidates who can demonstrate how their studies will lead to an improvement in the position of LGBTI+ people in their country.

FAWE is a pan-African Non-Government Organisation established in 1992 to champion for education rights for girls in Africa. Headquartered in Nairobi and with a presence in 33 African counties, FAWE uses a three-pronged holistic approach to transform girls’ education and to achieve gender equity and equality in education across Africa: demonstrative Interventions, advocacy, and research. The HALI Access Network is an association of non-profit organizations in Africa that work with high-achieving, low-income (HALI) students to access international higher education opportunities. HALI strives to level the playing field in international education to increase inclusion, access and scholarship support for remarkable students who lack the finances to make their educational dreams come true.
This application route is only for candidates affiliated with a HALI Access Network member organisation.
