On 18 August, in collaboration with the Kenya State Department for Higher Education and Research, the Commonwealth Scholarships Alumni Association of Kenya (CSAAK) held regional information session on Commonwealth Scholarships for those living in the Nairobi region. The event was hosted by Strathmore University and brought together over 200 students to learn more about the scholarships available.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Paul Ochieng, Dean of Students, Strathmore University. He underscored the event’s purpose to provide guidance and support to students aspiring to pursue Higher Education in the United Kingdom and highlighted the significance of collaboration, international education, and the shared mission of facilitating educational aspirations for the students in attendance.

The session was comprised of presentations, open discussions and Q&As, all of which were designed to foster active participation. Commonwealth Alumni delivered a presentation on specific aspects of Commonwealth Scholarships and the application process, enabling participants to understand more about these awards and how to submit a high quality application.

The event concluded with a group photo and informal networking. CSAAK are committed to delivering similar events across Kenya and Strathmore University have expressed interest in partnering with CSAAK to host events in future.
