Focus Group Discussions
December Focus Group Discussion will take place as follows. All panel members will have received an invitation to the Networks and Communities discussion. Panel members from or residing in the Caribbean should have received an invitation to the first discussion on low-engaged countries/regions.
- Low-engaged countries/regions- Caribbean session: Monday 16 December, 23:00 EST
- Networks and Communities- first session: Tuesday 17 December, 10:00 GMT

Virtual meet-up | This is an informal networking opportunity for panel members.
Panel members will receive an update on planned activities for 2024/25. Following the briefing, panel members will be split into breakout groups to network and discuss their experiences and contributions to panel activities to date. |
December 2024 | Focus Group Discussions on the development of the Alumni Engagement Strategy 2025-2028 | Panel members will be invited to participate in FGDs on the following core delivery areas:
For some FGDs, panel members will be joined by alumni from the CSC’s wider community to support discussions. |
February – March 2025 | Review of the draft Alumni Engagement Strategy 2025-2028 | Panel members will be invited to review the draft Alumni Engagement Strategy 2025-2028 prior to submission to the CSC Commission for approval and implementation.
Panel members will be asked to consider the developments made in light of previous panel feedback and evaluation findings and to test the rigour of the evaluation framework developed to assess the delivery of the strategy. |
April 2025 | Virtual meet-up | This is an informal networking opportunity for panel members.
Following the briefing, panel members will be split into breakout groups to network and discuss their experiences and contributions to panel activities to date. |
April 2025 | Consultation on scholar engagement activities and opportunities | This activity forms part of a review of the CSC’s current scholar engagement programme.
Panel members will be invited to comment on the existing scholar engagement programme, share reflections on their personal experiences engaging in CSC activities whilst a scholar and provide recommendations on activities that were of value and additional activities for consideration. |
May – June 2025 | Building an ecosystem for entrepreneurs and innovators

In 2024, the CSC launched a two-year Time Limited Programme (TLP) on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Job Creation.
This activity will seek to gather feedback on ways the CSC could support scholars in considering entrepreneurship in future careers and building relevant skills. The activity will be open to all panel members, not only those with entrepreneurial backgrounds or experience. |
July – August 2025 | Feedback on the CSC’s guidance for scholars on using the new online awards administration platform- CSC Central

The CSC has commissioned the development of a new awards administration platform, CSC Central. As part of their award administration during the scholarship, scholars will be required to log-into the system and see information on their stipend payments, tenure dates and communications from Programme Officers.
The CSC Programme Team would value panel member feedback on the clarity of the guidance that will be shared with scholars on using the system and the system processes for scholars. As part of a longer-term system development, alumni will also be able to use the system to update their contact details and register for events |
