This workshop covers all you need to know as an introduction to impact measurement and impact evaluation. This is a two-part workshop focusing on theory and practical guidance for impact measurement.
Part 1
This part of the workshop will cover:
- Why do impact evaluation and who is it for?
- The difference between monitoring, evaluation and research.
- The components of impact evaluation, including Theory of Change and Needs Assessment.
- How to devise programme indicators.
During this session, participants will develop their own causal hypothesis and their own project or programme indicators.
This workshop is part of the CSC’s Development Training Programme for the 2020-21 academic year.
CSC workshops focus on professional and practical skills and are designed to be interactive, with small groups of Scholars and Fellows taking part in each event.

This workshop will be run by AccessEd, a non-profit organisation aimed at promoting fair access to university for all young people.
