Delegates from member states in the Commonwealth, including Commonwealth Scholars, were among a large international audience at a recent conference on ‘Educational Policies and Priorities in Commonwealth Small States’, held at the University of Bristol on 25 October 2010.

The event was jointly organised by the University’s International and Comparative Studies Centre (Graduate School of Education) and the Council for Education in the Commonwealth (CEC). It brought together key figures from the field of comparative and international education with Commonwealth agency personnel and government representatives also attending.

Findings were presented from a research project, funded by the Commonwealth Secretariat, which addresses the challenges faced by Commonwealth small states. The full research report, Educational Policies and Priorities in Commonwealth Small States, will be published in book form by the Commonwealth Secretariat later this year.
