Welcome home recently returned Commonwealth Scholars from Uganda!
This event will provide an opportunity to welcome home recently returned Commonwealth Scholars from Uganda following their studies in the UK and introduce them to the local alumni network.
This event that will be attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education and Sports and officiated by the British High Commissioner to Uganda and British Council Country Director, Besa Chilufya. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with guests and share information on their studies and time in the UK.
During the event there will be a mental health and physcosocial suport session, designed to support attendees in reintegrating into their work/life and family life, and deal with elements of reverse culture shock.
Commonwealth Alumni will also be in attendance and available to share advice and guidance to recently returned Scholars. Members of the local CSC alumni association’s executive committee will also share information on how Scholars can join the association and get involved in activities.
