Alumni who will be in the London area in December 2010 may wish to attend the Gladwyn Lecture, entitled ‘Peace, Progress and Change – Nigeria’s Education 1960 – 2010’, on 8 December.

The lecture will be delivered by Dr Nosa Aladeselu, Executive Director of the African Women’s Empowerment Guild, Nigeria. Discussion will be led by CSC alumnus Professor Michael Omolewa (Commonwealth Fellow, History of Adult Education, King’s College London, 1975), and will be chaired by the Rt Hon David Lammy MP.

The Gladwyn Lecture will be held from 5.30-7.00 pm on Wednesday 8 December 2010 at The Boothroyd Room, Portcullis House. For further details, please see the invitation flyer.

The event is a Parliamentary Lecture organised by the Council for Education in the Commonwealth (CEC), a Commonwealth-accredited NGO.

Please note that the CSC is unable to pay travel costs for alumni to attend the lecture.
