In 2024, the CSC will deliver a Commonwealth Gender and Sexuality Fellowship for professionals working to support the rights, freedoms, dignity, and inclusion of communities who are discriminated against because of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

The fellowship forms part of the CSC’s annual Time Limited Programme which in 2023-24 is focused on LGBT+ rights.

Supporting professionals to deliver change

Human rights in relation to sexual orientation and gender identity are a significant issue across the Commonwealth, and the fellowship is intended to provide successful recipients with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in this area and have a catalytic impact on their workplaces.

Host organisations will need to show how their programmes can support fellowship recipients who are working in any of the following areas: advocacy, advice and support, legal rights, health and wellbeing.

How to apply

Host organisations must be based in the UK and be able to design and manage a three-month programme of professional experience and exchange for mid-career professionals.

To find out more and apply to be a fellowship host in 2024, please visit the host application page on the CSC website.

The deadline for applications is 16:00 (BST) on Wednesday 21 June 2023.
