Dylan Vernon, a Commonwealth Scholar from Belize, returned to his home country for a short time in September this year to moderate a major Prime Ministers’ Forum, convened to mark the 30th anniversary of Belize’s independence.

Two of Belize’s three former Prime Ministers joined the current Prime Minister for the forum – the first of its kind. The event was organised by the National Independence Celebrations Commission, which invited Dylan to act as moderator.

Dylan said, ‘It was most successful and I did manage to get in questions related to my thesis’. He is currently studying for a PhD in Latin American (Caribbean) Politics at the Institute for the Study of the Americas, School of Advanced Study, University of London.
