On 16 February 2024, recently returned Commonwealth and Chevening Scholars from Zambia gathered at a welcome home event to share their experiences studying in the UK and meet Commonwealth and Chevening Alumni. The event was hosted by the British High Commission.
The British High Commissioner to Zambia, Nicholas Woolley, commenced the event with a welcome speech. He expressed his admiration for returning scholars on the completion of their studies and congratulated them on this achievement and shared best wishes for their future endeavours. This was followed by speeches from representatives of the Commonwealth and Chevening alumni communities, who encouraged returning scholars to get involved in and make the most of their in-country alumni networks.
Following the speeches, scholars and alumni took part in an interactive networking session.
