Develop leadership skills for every situation and find out how to maximise your impact when leading on projects in this online workshop.
This session will provide a fantastic introduction to all things to do with leadership and making effective decisions.
During the session Scholars will learn about:
- Different styles of leadership
- The difference between leadership and management
- How to motivate yourself and others for impact
- Typical leadership pitfalls
Scholars will be introduced to different leadership models and frameworks and will practise using these models by looking at scenarios for how they might play out in real life.
Scholars will do a quiz on their own personal leadership style, and understand how to adapt their personal approach for success. The session will also consider coaching models to help with decision making and encourage Scholars in having courageous conversations with others.
This workshop is part of the CSC’s Development Training Programme for the 2020-21 academic year.
CSC workshops focus on professional and practical skills and are designed to be interactive, with small groups of Scholars and Fellows taking part in each event.
