Sudhir Kumar, an employee at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in India, held a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in 2008 at the St James Institute of Oncology, Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
H S Kushwaha, Director of the Health Safety and Environment Group at BARC, said that the Centre is very thankful for Sudhir’s Professional Fellowship.
‘Sudhir has learnt new and very useful techniques such as Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, Image Guided Radiotherapy, and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy during his Fellowship, and the knowledge and experience acquired have enhanced his professional capabilities in improving the dosimetry for treatment of cancer patients using these techniques.’
