Edward Olaniru, 2010 Commonwealth Scholar from Nigeria, recently graduated from his MSc Pharmacology and Biotechnology course at Sheffield Hallam University with a Distinction. He was also awarded two prizes: the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing Biosciences Prize for the postgraduate international student who has made the most significant contribution to the programme, and the Gold Hallam Award for outstanding leadership, management, and communication skills.
Edward has now returned to his home country and is working at the University of Jos. He hopes to begin studying for a PhD next year.
