Jyotiraj Patra, a Commonwealth Scholar studying for a DPhil at the University of Oxford, has been selected as one of the Brightest Young Climate Leaders 2010 in India.

This was a joint initiative of the Hindustan Times, Artic Holdings and the British Council to identify and recognise bright ideas towards a low-carbon future.

Jyotiraj was selected for facilitating ongoing community-based activities towards enabling the availability and accessibility of renewable energy technologies (RETs) for energy security among rural communities in the state of Orissa.
