On 21 March, recently returned Commonwealth and Chevening Scholars from Kenya gathered in Nairobi to share their experiences studying in the UK and meet Commonwealth Alumni.
As part of the event, representatives of the Commonwealth Scholarship Alumni Association Kenya (CSAAK) introduced the in-country alumni network and importance of getting involved for personal and professional support and opportunities. They were joined by representatives from recruiting company, Gensis Analytics, who collaborate with key stakeholders to drive impactful and enduring change in vital domains. Genesis operates in 46 African nations and over 100 countries globally with a unique focus on the ‘Young World’, encompassing regions with youthful populations in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and parts of Southeast Asia. During the event they facilitated discussions on potential career paths and job prospects, offering attendees valuable insights into post-academic opportunities.
The event concluded with closing remarks by CSAAK President, Sarah Amoit, who summarised the day’s objectives and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the commitment and time invested by those in attendance.
