On 15 February, the British High Commission in Uganda hosted a welcome home reception for recently returned Commonwealth and Chevening Scholars.
British High Commissioner Kate Airey opened the event with congratulations to returning scholars on having completed their studies. She encouraged scholars to continue on their leadership journey and to create positive change and impact in their work, and to stay connected with the British High Commission.
The executive chairs of the Commonwealth and Chevening alumni associations gave remarks officially welcoming back the scholars and into their local alumni associations. Recently returned scholars were then invited to share highlights from their studies and life in the UK.
Following the speeches, scholars and alumni took part in an interactive networking session.
