In response to the UK government’s call to action at last year’s COP26 in Glasgow, the CSC’s Time Limited Programme (TLP) for 2022-2023 is focused on Clean Energy, Air and Oceans.

As part of this TLP and to support individuals working in these areas across the Commonwealth, the CSC will be funding 20 Professional Fellows to spend three months at one of 5 UK Host Organisations between February and May 2023. The programme will be focused on climate change in the fields of renewable energy, improved air quality and sustainable use and conservation of marine environments.

This is the second time the CSC is offering a Professional Fellowship Programme focused on a specific theme. It will offer mid-career professionals from low and middle income Commonwealth countries the opportunity to step away from their day-to-day work and focus on developing the skills, network and knowledge they need to deepen and expand their impact in their chosen field.

The host organisations that have been selected to support this cohort of Professional Fellows in the area of Clean Energy, Air and Oceans are:

University of Edinburgh Earth Initiative

Knowledge 4 Change

Lifegate Outreach Centre

University of Salford Energy House 2.0

University of Strathclyde
